POLICIES, TERMS & CONDITIONS
Hotel Policies and Disclaimers
Caravan is a unique hotel in several ways. The rules, policies, and descriptions below will help you understand how this hotel may differ from other hotels.
By clicking the check box in the reservation system, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as stated on this page.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you are required to cancel seven days in advance. If you cancel seven or more days in advance, you qualify for a full refund. If you must cancel your reservation within the seven days before your reservation begins, we will do our best to book your tiny house to someone else. If we are able to do so, we will offer you a full refund for any nights that we are able to book. If we cannot book the tiny house, we will not be able to refund your money. If you do not show and fail to cancel your reservation, you will be charged the full fee for your stay.
To cancel a reservation, you must notify us by firstname.lastname@example.org. We will confirm within 24 hours. If you do not receive confirmation of your cancellation within 24 hours, please telephone us at 503-288-5225.
Smoking is not allowed in any of the tiny houses or on the premises. Guests often leave their windows open, so we ask that guests step outside the gate of Caravan to smoke. Because the tiny houses are small, and smells tend to stick around, please throw out cigarette butts in the garbage area rather than in the tiny houses. There will be a $300 cleaning charge for smoking in a tiny house.
We reserve the right and guests hereby authorize us to charge their credit or debit card for any damage incurred to their tiny house or Caravan during their stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when they leave.
Caravan accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
Limitation of Liability
Caravan will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in a tiny house other than as required under Oregon law. Caravan will not be liable for any indirect, consequential loss or pure economic loss (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the Contract.
Nothing contained in these terms and conditions may be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by Caravan’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any action or proceeding seeking to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions or based on any right arising out of these terms and conditions must be brought in Multnomah County Circuit Court of the State of Oregon or, subject to applicable jurisdictional requirements, in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, and each of the parties consents to the jurisdiction of such courts (and of the appropriate appellate courts) in any such action or proceeding and waives any objection to such venue.
The tiny houses are not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, most tiny houses cannot accommodate wheelchairs due to their size. Each tiny house has a unique design that varies from conventional building designs. The designs and layouts are described for each tiny house in the tiny house pages. By consenting to these terms, you agree that you accept the conditions in the tiny house that you are reserving.
