The Pearl is one of three tiny houses located at Caravan-The Tiny House Hotel. Like all of Caravan’s tiny houses, The Pearl has running water, electric heat, a kitchen, flush toilet, and a hot shower.
The Pearl boasts a modern design, inside and out. It is a work of precision and was built to be an extremely energy efficient structure using a variety of energy efficiency building envelope measures. It’s 100 square feet on the main floor and features a dining table that turns into a queen bed; it also has a sleeping loft. It can sleep two people on the main floor and a 3rd person in the lofted sleeping space. The bathroom is a wet bath.

The tiny house is fully stocked with all basic housing amenities including bedding and linens, kitchen supplies, and maps, books, art and games about Portland. In the living area, there is an eating table, a sitting area, bookshelves, and clothing storage.
Each tiny house comes equipped with an alarm clock that has a built in white noise machine in case you like to listen to relaxing sounds when you go to sleep. It also has an auxiliary jack to plug in any smart phone to play music.
History of The Pearl
The Pearl was designed and built by Shelter Wise LLC in Portland, Oregon. It was completed in June of 2013. Shelter Wise calls this tiny house “The Miter Box” because of the precision work. You can learn more about it on their website: http://www.shelterwisellc.com.
